Ingredients

  • 500 g Bread flour
  • 350 g Water Room temperature
  • 100 g Sourdough starter Active
  • 10 g Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and water. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Add the sourdough starter and salt to the mixture. Mix until a rough dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it ferment at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
  5. 5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  6. 6. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a piece of parchment paper.
  7. 7. Carefully transfer the dough into the preheated Dutch oven. Cover with the lid and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. 8. Remove the lid and bake for another 25 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  9. 9. Let the bread cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
