  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup Sourdough Starter active and bubbly
  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, sourdough starter, warm water, honey, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Place the balls on a greased baking tray, close together but not touching.
  6. Brush the tops with olive oil and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
