Ingredients

  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup Sourdough Starter fed and active
  • ½ cup Butter cold, cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the sourdough starter and milk, mixing until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times.
  6. Pat the dough out to about ½ inch thick and cut into biscuits.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
