Dough Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Add whole wheat flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired thickness.
Place the rolled-out dough on a baking sheet, add your favorite toppings, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
