  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup Steel Cut Oats
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and honey. Stir until honey is dissolved.
  2. 2. Sprinkle yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. 3. Add whole wheat flour, steel cut oats, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. 7. Bake the bread for 40 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. 8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
