Ingredients

  • 500 g All-purpose flour
  • 7 g Active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 10 g Salt 1.5 tsp
  • 300 ml Warm water
  • 30 g Sugar 2 tbsp
  • 30 g Butter 2 tbsp, softened

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add flour, salt, and butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. 7. Bake for 30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. 8. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
