  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 1 large ball (body), 1 medium ball (head), and 4 small balls (legs).
  6. 6. Shape the dough pieces into a turtle shape on a baking sheet. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. 7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the turtle bread for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. 8. Let it cool before serving. Enjoy!
