Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 large Egg

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. 3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. 6. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. 7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake rolls for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
