Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a baking sheet in the oven to heat.
  6. 6. Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten into a ¼-inch thick circle.

  8. 8. Remove from the oven and cover with a kitchen towel to keep them soft.
