Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Mashed Sweet Potato cooked and mashed
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ cup Milk warm
- ¼ cup Butter melted
- 1 Egg beaten
In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Add mashed sweet potato, melted butter, and beaten egg to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
Gradually add flour and salt. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a bun and place on a baking sheet.
Cover the buns and let them rise for another 30 minutes. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
