Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon yeast
  • 3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup butter, softened

Instructions 

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, egg, and butter. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 pieces. Shape into rolls and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Let the rolls rise again until doubled, then bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
