  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 Eggs

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat well.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cornbread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
