Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Rye flour
  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoon Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Instant coffee granules
  • 1 tablespoon Caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups Warm water
  • ¼ cup Molasses
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, rye flour, whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, coffee granules, caraway seeds, salt, and yeast.
  2. 2. Add warm water, molasses, and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
  6. 6. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped. Let cool before slicing.
