  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add spelt flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  6. Place the rolled-out dough on a baking sheet, add your favorite toppings, and bake for 10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
