Main Ingredients
- 3 cups spelt flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, honey, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
2. Add the spelt flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped. Let it cool before slicing.
