  • 2 cups spelt flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup cold butter cut into small pieces
  • ¾ cup milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the spelt flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter pieces and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add the milk, stirring until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently a few times.
  6. Pat the dough into a ½-inch thick round and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
