  • 1 cup Sourdough Starter fed and active
  • 3 Ripe Bananas mashed
  • ½ cup Butter melted
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts walnuts or pecans

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Add the beaten eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped nuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
