  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 large Egg

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add sour cream, egg, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until smooth.
  3. 3. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes.
  4. 4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. 5. Punch down dough, divide into 8 pieces, and shape into rolls. Place on a baking sheet.
  6. 6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Let rolls rise for another 20 minutes.
  7. 7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
