Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add yeast to the mixture and let it sit for about 5 minutes, until it becomes frothy.
  3. Stir in salt and vegetable oil.
  4. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. When the dough starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl, turn it out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a roll and place on a greased baking sheet.
  8. Cover the rolls with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
