Main Ingredients
- 1 pound sage sausage
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup chopped fresh sage
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
In another bowl, whisk together milk, oil, and egg.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in sausage and sage.
Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool before slicing.
