  • 2 cups Rye Flour
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup Warm Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add rye flour, all-purpose flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired thickness on a floured surface.
  6. 6. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet. Add your favorite toppings and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the toppings are cooked.
