Rum Raisin Bread

- 1 cup Raisins soaked in rum
- ½ cup Rum
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 large Eggs
- ½ cup Butter melted
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
Soak raisins in rum for at least 1 hour.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter.
Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in the soaked raisins.
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
