Ingredients

  • 250 g All-purpose flour
  • 250 g Cold unsalted butter cut into small cubes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 150 ml Cold water as needed

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  2. 2. Add cold butter cubes and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually add cold water, mixing until the dough just comes together.
  4. 4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and shape into a rectangle.
  5. 5. Roll the dough into a long rectangle, then fold it into thirds like a letter.
  6. 6. Rotate the dough 90 degrees and repeat the rolling and folding process 4 more times.
  7. 7. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes before using.
