Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ cup cold butter cut into small pieces
  • ¾ cup pumpkin puree
  • cup buttermilk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  3. Add the cold butter pieces and cut them into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree and buttermilk together.
  5. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together.
  7. Pat the dough out to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
  8. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
