Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar and salt, and mix well.
Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each piece into a pretzel.
Place the pretzels on a baking sheet and brush with the beaten egg. Sprinkle with salt.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
