Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the melted butter, remaining sugar, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and roll in breadcrumbs.
  6. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
