Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon Instant yeast
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 ½ cups Water Room temperature

Instructions 

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Add water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let dough rest at least 12 hours, preferably about 18, at room temperature.
  3. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a Dutch oven in the oven as it heats.
  4. When the dough is ready, carefully remove the Dutch oven from the oven. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface; shape into a ball. Place dough seam side down in the Dutch oven.
  5. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Remove lid and bake until bread is golden brown, 15 to 30 minutes more.
  6. Cool on a wire rack.
