Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup butter cold, cubed
- ¾ cup milk
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the cold, cubed butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually add the milk, stirring until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently a few times.
Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm with butter or jam.
