Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup multigrain flour
  • ½ cup mixed seeds (sunflower, flax, sesame)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, multigrain flour, and mixed seeds.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the honey and salt in warm water. Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. 3. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. 7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped. Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
