Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Molasses
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and molasses. Stir until molasses is dissolved.
  2. 2. Sprinkle yeast over the water and molasses mixture. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  3. 3. Add flour and salt to the mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  6. 6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. 7. Remove from oven and let it cool before slicing.
