  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup whole milk warm
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter softened

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add the beaten egg, bread flour, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Add the softened butter and continue kneading until fully incorporated.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. 6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. 7. Cover and let it rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. 9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
