  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Ale
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 Jalapenos diced
  • 4 Green onions chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix ale, buttermilk, and beaten eggs.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and green onions.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
