Main Ingredients
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup warm water
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
1. In a large bowl, mix warm water and honey until honey is dissolved.
2. Add yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
3. Stir in olive oil and salt.
4. Gradually add whole wheat flour, mixing until a dough forms.
5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
7. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
8. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
10. Bake for 30 minutes or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
11. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
