  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Butter, melted
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a skillet and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, honey, and egg.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the black pepper.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared skillet and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
