Greek Easter Bread Recipe
This is a traditional Greek Easter bread, also known as Tsoureki. It's slightly sweet and flavored with orange zest and mahleb.

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Milk warm
- 1 tablespoon Active dry yeast
- ½ cup Butter melted
- 3  Eggs room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Mahleb ground
- 1 tablespoon Orange zest
- 1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy. 
- 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and mahleb. 
- 3. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, and orange zest to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. 
- 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. 
- 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1.5 hours or until doubled in size. 
- 6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into three equal parts. Braid the parts together and place on a baking sheet. 
- 7. Let the braided dough rise for another 30 minutes. Brush with an egg wash if desired. 
- 8. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool before serving.
