Frisian Sugar Bread
A sweet, traditional bread from Friesland, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.

Main Ingredients
- 500 g Flour
- 250 ml Milk lukewarm
- 75 g Butter softened
- 100 g Sugar preferably pearl sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 packet Yeast active dry
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and cinnamon.
2. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk, let it sit for 5 minutes.
3. Add yeast mixture and softened butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5. Gently fold in the sugar.
6. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
7. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
8. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Let it cool before slicing. Enjoy!
