  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup cold butter cut into small pieces
  • ¾ cup milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add milk, stirring until the dough comes together.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently 8-10 times.
  6. Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  7. Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
