Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Active dry yeast
  • 1.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
  7. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet and let rise for another 15 minutes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow the bread bowls to cool, then cut off the tops and hollow out the insides.
