  • 2 tablespoon Caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Molasses
  • 2 teaspoon Instant yeast
  • 1.5 cups Warm water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine rye flour, all-purpose flour, caraway seeds, and salt.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, mix molasses, yeast, and warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  3. 3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  6. 6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. 7. Bake the bread for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. 8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
