Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup Milk warm
  • 2 tablespoon Butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon Active Dry Yeast
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and salt.
  2. Sprinkle yeast over the mixture and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add cornmeal and 1 cup of flour. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide into 12 pieces. Shape into rolls.
  8. Place rolls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. Bake rolls for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
