Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in cheddar and thyme.
  5. Add milk and stir until just combined.
  6. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  7. Roll out to ½ inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
