Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup brewed chai tea, cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cardamom

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the chai tea and vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and cardamom.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
