  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 Egg beaten

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a cast iron skillet.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. 3. In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, and beaten egg.
  4. 4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. 5. Pour the batter into the prepared skillet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
