Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Yeast active dry
  • ½ cup Milk warm
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add flour, sugar, salt, eggs, and softened butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  6. 6. Let the dough rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  7. 7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the brioche for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. 8. Let it cool before slicing and serving.
