Main Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1.5 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
Add the warm water and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape each into a ball. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool before cutting off the tops and scooping out the insides to create bowls.
