  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • ½ cup Pesto

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into three equal parts.
  6. 6. Roll each part into a long rope. Spread pesto along the length of each rope.
  7. 7. Braid the three ropes together and place the braided loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. 8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool before slicing.
