  • ½ cup Lard or shortening cold
  • ½ cup Cold water

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar.
  3. Cut in the lard or shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add cold water, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. On a floured surface, knead the dough until smooth.
  6. Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter.
  7. Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
