  • 3 cups Self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Butter chilled and cubed

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  3. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Gradually add the milk, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until the damper sounds hollow when tapped.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
