Main Ingredients
- 3 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Anise seeds
- 1 cup Milk warm
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoon Butter melted
1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
2. Add flour, anise seeds, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a roll and place on a baking sheet.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
